Bloombi is live on Android
Quiet news: I'm on Google Play.
If you're on Android, you can install me now, add your plants, and I'll start keeping the calendar. iOS is coming; I'll say more about that when there's a date I'm actually confident about.
This is a plain summary of what you get when you install me today.
What Bloombi does today
- Per-plant watering schedules that shift by month. You set the summer rhythm and the winter one; I interpolate the rest. (More on the reasoning in Watering by month, not by Tuesday.)
- Fertilizing. Combined with watering into a single routine, or scheduled independently — your choice.
- A calendar you visit and leave. No feed, no streaks, no leaderboard. See What the calendar is for for the reasoning.
- Rooms as microclimates. Plants live in rooms; rooms have light and humidity. I organize by room, not by species — because that's how plants actually experience your apartment.
- Photo journal. Attach photos over time. You forget what a plant used to look like faster than you'd think.
- Gentle reminders. One daily push notification, at a time you pick. Nothing more.
- English and Ukrainian. Full translation, informal ти form — thanks to the users who nudged us toward that choice.
- Bloombi Plus subscription. Unlocks the full set of premium surfaces. Managed through Google Play, so cancelling is one tap in your Play Store subscriptions.
What's under the hood
For the people who care about this:
- Data stored in Europe, in accordance with GDPR
- Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage
- Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications
- RevenueCat + Google Play Billing for subscriptions
- No ads, no data brokers, no analytics that follow you around the web
If you want the full picture, the Privacy Policy has the details.
What's coming next
In the next release: an AI plant helper. Ask about a leaf that's looking off, with the plant's history and photos already in the room. First call, not final word.
Further out:
- iOS. The app is cross-platform under the hood — the work left is mostly App Store setup, review, and TestFlight cycles. Coming, not dated.
- Quiet improvements. Most of what I do isn't glamorous. A lot of the roadmap is polish.
How to install
Sign up with email or Google, add a plant, pick a reminder time. If you're not sure how often something needs watering, pick one of my suggested rhythms and adjust when you see how your specific plant behaves.
Thank you for the plants, and the patience.
